Helena^5 Van Wicklen (Jacob^4, Garret^3, Gerrit^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes) was b. 24 September 1784 and bap. (Wolver Hollow) on
3 October 1784, sponsored by Annatye Hardenburgh. She married at Wolver Hollow to George Monfoort 2 July 1805. George
is the son of Peter and Sarah (Luyster) Monfoort. George was b. 19 August 1786 (Cedar Swamp, L.I.) and bap. 10 September
1786 as "Jores." George d. 21 April 1849. Helena died 11 September 1868 in East Norwich, L.I. They had five children. George,
Helena, and son, John are buried next to each other in Brookville Cemetery. Sarah
Monfoort, daughter of George and Helena, m. David Norstrand Layton and this David, as well as David Layton (m. to Helena Van Wicklen who was b. 5 October 1737)
are ancestors of Harry Macy Jr., Editor of the New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, and author of several articles
on the Van Wicklen/Van Wickle/Van Wicklin family.

and Mary (Nostrand) Layton and grandson of David Layton and Helena Van Wicklen. John^6 Monfoort was b. 12 April 1809,
Cedar Swamp, L.I., NY and bap. 4 June 1809, WHRDC. He did not marry and he died 18 June 1831;
Garret^6 Monfoort was b. 14 September 1811, Cedar Swamp, L.I., NY and bap. 20 October 1811, WHRDC. He married Susan A. Voorhies on 24
December 1851 and he died on 6 January 1878; Mary^6 Ann Monfoort was b. 19 January 1813, Cedar Swamp, L.I., NY and
bap. 19 January 1813, WHRDC. She married John M. Layton on 13 October 1851 (his second wife). She died 11 December
1882; Elizabeth^6 Monfoort was b. 10 February 1817, Cedar Swamp, L.I., NY and was bap. 27 April 1817, WHRDC. She
married Thomas Nostrand on 12 October 1837 and she died 25 August 1849.

Cemetery, Brookville, NY, son of Alfred Sherman Tappen and Elizabeth Coger Martling. They lived in several North Shore
communities before settling at Glenwood Landing in 1904. He was at different times a famer, surveyor and builder; an
organizer of the Glenwood Fire Department in 1907, and in politics a Republican. Eight children of which [all Underhill
